We Were One Among the Fence
So, before I can take you seriously, I must know. Put their albums in order from best to worse.

Yes! I was actually waiting for someone to ask this. Here goes nothing:

1. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3

Though Star IV:1 was held my first Coheed experience, I can’t see why anyone would think anything differently. Pure prog genius. I think this album does the best job of telling its story. IKSSE? The Crowing? Blood Red Summer? There’s not a song on that album I would skip if it came on shuffle.
Highlight: The Light and the Glass. There are no words for the epicness of this song.
Lowlight: Al the Killer. And I only say that because I had to chose one.

2. Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness.

It was a tough decision holding this over SSTB. But like I said it was the first Coheed album I bought. Holds a lot of sentimental value. Not to mention some kick ass tracks.
Hightlight: The Willing Well I: Fuel for the Feeding End. Again, tough call, but this is my choice.
Lowlight: Apollo I: The Writing Writer. To be honest this was a toss up between Apollo II, Mother May I, Crossing The Frame, and Once Upon Your Dead Body.

3. Second Stage Turbine Blade
After reviewing the tracklist, this should be my number two. But oh well. Hard to hate on the original. Reminds me of high school.
Highlight: 33. I was going to say Junesong. But everyone loves Junesong. Here’s to being different.
Lowlight: Everything Evil. Yeah, I know. Tough call. They’re all great. But this one just doesn’t quite do it for me.

4. Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow.

Call me an originalist I guess, I just don’t love these last two as much as I should. Many people say that it had to do with Chris Pennie. I don’t know about all that. All I know, is that it is different.
Highlight: Mother Superior. Hard not to love this song.
Lowlight: Justice in Murder. Or Radio Byebye. Pick one.

5. Year of The Black Rainbow.
Maybe it hasnt had enough time to sink in. But yeah, the last three songs on the album are forgettable. Very different all around.
Highlight: Far. This may be one of my favorite Coheed songs in general. So don’t think I’m not for innovation. <3
Lowlight: When Skeletons Live. There is very little about this song that I like. Ick.
